Robert Brookes-Avey
Robert (Bob) Brookes-Avey has been appraising existing and proposed commercial properties since 1987. His experience includes vacant land, single-family residential subdivisions, multi-family projects (apartments and condominiums), master planned communities, retail properties, office properties, industrial properties, and many types of special use properties. The intended uses of these assignments include support for mortgage lending, bankruptcy proceedings, divorce proceedings, eminent domain acquisitions, negotiated settlements, and property tax appeals.
Mr. Brookes-Avey was born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada but has lived in the Phoenix area since 1978 and is a citizen of both Canada and the United States. He obtained his undergraduate degree in accounting and finance from the University of Calgary in 1977 and obtained his Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix in 1985. Before becoming interested in real estate, he worked for nearly 15 years as an auditor and cost accountant.
Mr. Brookes-Avey is a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser in the State of Arizona; his state certification number is 30217. Although he does most of his work within the Phoenix metropolitan area, Mr. Brookes-Avey has done assignments throughout the State of Arizona and has worked in both the Las Vegas and Reno areas of the State of Nevada. Mr. Brookes-Avey has held the MAI (Member Appraisal Institute) designation from the Appraisal Institute since 1995.
